Last week, I got locked out of my PlayStation web link account for 6 months.

My story begins sometime around the Americanlaunch of the PlayStation 4.

Only, it wouldnt launch.

The glitch notice was that the content wasnt authorized for this machine.

Now it was getting a little disturbing.

I called support, desperate for answers.

A Sharp Smart TV running TiVo OS.

Someone would look into the matter and get back to me as soon as possible.

I waited 4 days, unable to access anything.

There was absolutely nothing they could do for me.

My only option was to wait 6 months until the ability to deactivate devices was re-enabled.

The wait period is apparently “to prevent game sharing.”

I get why you have restrictions, Sony.

Maybe I would stretch to letting families share content, but only under the same IP address.

As an end consumer I should clearly know better.

There would be no sympathy for me.
