The stories are user-generated, but Ive found that many of them are chilling, to say the least.

Either way, if paranormal short stories are what youre looking for, I cant recommend Creepypasta enough.

When youre on the site, scroll down to view the top-rated stories for the best experience.

Youll need to filter by state to view all the haunted locations nearby.

For instance, I found a few cemetery ghost tours around me that I had never heard of before.

Even just reading some of these accounts can be pretty frightening.

This island was once a thriving coal mining town located just about nine miles from Nagasaki, Japan.

When youre exploring these locations, dont miss the haunting descriptions that come up on the right.

They make the entire experience feel all the more eerie.

7Morbidology

Unlike many websites on this list, Morbidology steers clear of paranormal cases.

Instead, it delves into something far more unsettling real-life horrors that are far scarier than anything otherworldly.

And if youre into audio content, there are plenty of podcasts available on the platform.

Like some of thefree podcast apps, Morbidologys podcast is also free to access.

Something I enjoyed about this website is theUrban Legendssection.

Theres also a whole collection of urban legends that are pretty interesting to explore.
