The overclocking part of MSI Afterburner is actually based on a quite old overclocking utility called RivaTuner.
That one actually came out in 1997, but it was last updated in 2009.
How Do I Install MSI Afterburner?

Then, tweak the Core Clock (MHz) slider up.

How to Modify Your Fan Curve
