Having trouble getting Siri to work or activate on your iPhone or iPad?
This is likely because Siri is disabled in your iPhone or iPad’s options.
There are a couple of reasons why this might be the case.

First, visitApple’s feature availability pageto double-check that Siri is available in your country or region.
Unfortunately, Apple’s personal assistant isn’t available everywhere.
Second, double-check you haven’t disabled Siri using Screen Time on your iPhone by mistake.
Go toSettings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictionsto check.
If it’s toggled on, tapAllowed Appsand make sureSiri & Dictationis enabled.
If only Siri suggestions are missing, apply thesesolutions to make Siri suggestions show up on your iPhoneagain.
There are multiple microphones on your iPhone or iPad.
If that doesn’t happen, there might be a problem with the options on your iPhone.
Other times, it’s as simple as turning the volume up.
To turn up Siri’s volume, repeatedly press theVolume Upbutton while using Siri.
If Siri still doesn’t say anything, go toSettings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice.
Choose a different option to make your gear download new voice files.
In case this works, you may need tofactory reset your iPhone or iPadto fix the original voice.
If Siri isn’t working on your iPhone or iPad, web connection problems might be the culprit.
check that your rig is connected to Wi-Fi and try streaming a YouTube video to test your internet connection.
If that doesn’t work, you may need tofix your unstable Wi-Fi connection.
If Siri still isn’t working, temporarily disable any VPN you’re using fromSettings > VPN.
Also, toggleAirplane Modeon and off fromSettings > Airplane Mode.
Still out of luck?
Go toSettings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhoneand chooseReset internet tweaks.
This deletes your saved Wi-Fi passwords and other internet-related data, so only use it if nothing else worked.
This isn’t an oversight by Apple; it’s a problem with your equipment’s prefs.
Then tapSign in to your iPhoneto use another account.
Go toSettings > Siri & Search > Listen forand chooseOff.
Then choose either"Hey Siri"or"Siri" or “Hey Siri"again.
TapContinue, follow the on-screen instructions to retrain Siri to recognize your voice, and tapDone.
Besides resetting Siri, here are some more general troubleshooting tips you might try.
First,close all open apps on your iPhone.
Then take a stab at see if Siri works when the app is reopened.
Another general fix is torestart your iPhoneand, if available, update to a newer version of iOS.
Go toSettings > General > Software Updateto do so.
Once the reset is complete, go toSettings > Siri & Searchto turn Siri on again.
