Terminator is a terminal emulator that lets you work on multiple terminal sessions in a single window.

On Debian-based distributions, you’re able to set up the package using APT.
On RHEL-based distributions, you might use YUM orDNF to install and manage packages.

These menus allow you to perform different functions and tweak configs and layouts.
To jump into the Context Menu, just right-click anywhere in the terminal window.
Choosing either option will divide the window into two smaller ones.
To navigate between different terminals, use theAlt + arrowkeys.
To send a command to all terminal windows, fire up the grouping menu and selectBroadcast all.
Now any command you run in the current terminal will be broadcasted to all the other terminals.
Note that the current terminal always has a red title bar.
To run a command simultaneously in a set of terminals, add them to a group.
To do so, selectNew groupfrom the grouping menu and name it.
Similarly, you could create multiple groups and add terminals to them.
when you land created a group, launch the grouping menu and select theBroadcast groupoption.
It will zoom the terminal window as well as enlarge the font size.
To bring back all the terminal windows, selectRestore all terminalsfrom the context menu.
To change the window title, use theCtrl + Alt + Wkeyboard shortcut, rename it, and pressEnter.
you could also double-hit the tab and terminal title bar to change their titles.
This will save you from manually creating the desired layout each time you open Terminator.
After setting up your layout, open thePreferenceswindow from the context menu.
Then go to theLayoutstab.
ClickAddto create a new layout and name it.
Then clickSaveand kill the window.
To set Terminator as the default terminal, enter the selection number corresponding to it.
