I didnt understand why my business was impacted, especially since we were paying for cyber security.

Education is incredibly important across every level of an organization and cyber-crime is first and foremost a human problem.
Technology can only do so much.
We need every person within an organization to understand the nature of the risks and threats to their business.
Youre right that it is a challenge.
Yet, regarding cyber-crime, it can be much more difficult to describe the potential damage.
Unfortunately, many think it wont happen to them.
So, I hope that attitude is changing.
That being said, there is certainly more awareness now than there was even 12 months ago.
