When reviewing new products, it’s rare to think, “this is an absolute game changer.”
It’s clear that we’re big fans of Keychron’s Q5 mechanical keyboard.
Keychron Q5 Style and Construction
The first striking feature of the Keychron Q5 is its weight.
Part of that experience is almost certainly down to the multi-layered Q5 construction.
In terms of dimensions, the Keychron Q5 is a somewhat rare 96% configuration.
In all but the four missing keys, it’s essentially a full-sized board.
However, that in itself will definitely suit some users.
Another nice feature is the custom double-shot PBT keycaps.
As a small blemish on the Q5, there is no adjustable height at all.
As is, you’re able to find adjustable feet online, but it is worth mentioning.
Another, which relates somewhat to the pitch angle, is the lack of wrist wrest.
Hot-swappable switches sometimes feel a little like magic, and it’s the same feeling with the Keychron Q5.
The keyboard has four key layers, two dedicated to macOS and two for Windows.
Should You Buy the Keychron Q5 Customizable Mechanical Keyboard?
But now for some more reasons why you should consider dropping $205 on a mechanical keyboard.
First up, the quality of theKeychron Q5for the price really is exceptional.
And before you say that’s a lot of moneyI totally agree.
