PressWin+Itogether to open Windows prefs.
In the following window, head over toSystem>Remote Desktop.
press theConfirmbutton to proceed.
In the same window, you should now see a name against the PC name option.
Note this down as we will use it later in the steps of setting up a remote desktop.
To change this name, head back toSettings>System.
punch theRename linkand bang out a new name for your PC in the following dialog.
Once done, hitNext.

You are now ready to set up a Remote Desktop and start using it.

TypeControl Panelin Windows search and clickOpen.
ChooseSystem and Securityfrom the list of options available.
In the following window, click onAllow remote accessunder System.
This should open a System properties dialog.
Head over to theRemote taband checkmark the box forAllow remote connections to this computer.
ClickApply>OKto save the changes.
This should switch on the feature on your Windows gadget.

We will be using the Remote Desktop Connection app that is built into Windows.
On the client PC, typeRemote Desktop Connectionin Windows search and clickOpen.
Alternatively, it’s possible for you to also open Run by pressingWin+Rtogether.
Typemstsc.exein Run and clickOK.
This should launch the Remote Desktop Connection.
Enter the name of the computer you want to connect to.
Once the dialog is launched, you have two options to move forward.
When you grab the first option, the default options will be applied.
Make the changes according to your preferences and head over to theGeneral tab.
Add the username and password of the PC you want to connect to, and hit theConnectbutton.
Your connection should now be successfully established.
To exit the remote desktop, choose theCloseicon in the top-right corner of the window.
ClickOKto confirm the departure.
tap on theplus iconin the top-right corner and chooseAdd PC.
Then, expand the dropdown under User account and click onAdd user account.
Enter the password of your account and clickSave.
This will create a PC ID that you’ve got the option to connect with.
Checkmark the box associated withDon’t ask me about this certificate againand clickConnect anyway.
You should now be able to use Windows 11 on your Android, iOS, or Mac gear.
To exit the remote desktop, hit the Close icon in the top-right corner of the window.
Click OK to confirm.
