How to Share Your AirTag
Before you begin, there are a few important requirements.
you might only share an AirTag with five others.
Youll also need toprotect your Apple ID with two-factor authentication.
Everyone also needs iCloud Keychain turned on.
Start by opening the Find My app and selecting theItemstab.
Then choose the AirTag you want to share.
Scroll down to theShare This AirTagsection and then selectAdd Person.
Add the Apple ID of the person or persons you want to share the AirTag with.
When done, selectSharein the top right corner.
On the items main screen, you’re free to see a list of everyone you have invited.
When someone accepts the invitation, they will see the shared AirTag in their Find My app.
They will also not receive any tracking notifications when the AirTag is near them.
If your invitation is declined, the persons name will disappear from your list.
How to Stop Sharing an AirTag
To stop sharing an AirTag location, the process is similar.
Once again open up the Find My app and then theItemstab.
Choose the AirTag and then the person you are sharing it with.
That makes Apples handy gadget even better.
