If your Amazon Echo machine is flashing yellow, you may be confused about why it is.

What Does a Flashing Yellow Light Mean on an Echo?

Rather, a missed or unread communication from an Alexa contact will cause this.

An Alexa contact is someone who also owns an Echo machine.

Your Echo won’t stop flashing yellow until the message has been read within the Alexa app.

The same goes for reminders.

Only missed Alexa app reminders will cause a yellow flashing light, not a reminder from any other app.

Something like “Alexa, what are my notifications?”

Once Alexa is done with this, the yellow flashing light will stop.

Firstly, you’re able to turn your Echo gadget on Do Not Disturb mode.

To do this, head into your Alexa app and go to Devices.

Then, choose the Echo rig you want to alter.

Here, you’ll see a moon symbol on the right-hand side of the screen.

If you tap this and the icon turns purple, you now haveDo Not Disturb modeenabled.

There is a way to stop call and text notifications while still keeping other notifications active.

By simply tapping on this, the contact in question will be removed from your favorites.

Here, you might toggle notifications for delivery and return updates on or off.

To disable reminder notifications, you’re better off not setting Alexa reminders.

For instance, you might set the alert volume, disable reminder text messages, or disable reminder follow-ups.
