How to Create the Dual Lighting Effect in Photoshop

Creating the dual lighting effect is easy.

We’ll show you two different versions of this; a subtle effect and a stronger effect.

Just follow the steps below.

Step 1 Choose first gradient color

That’s all there is to it.

That was the subtle version of the dual lighting effect.

To make it even subtler, you’re free to reduce theOpacityof the Group to50%.

Step 2 Create a gradient

For a stronger effect, change theBlending Modeback toPass Throughand settle for an Opacity that looks best to you.

We went with70%.

you’re free to also create stunning lighting effects using theOverlay Blend Mode in Photoshop.

Step 3 Change Angle to -180

It’s a quick and easy method to add a colorful and creative touch to your images.

Try it out to see which color gradients you like best.

Step 4 Drag gradient

Step 5 Choose second gradient color

Step 6 Repeat Steps 2-4

Step 7 Make both gradient layers active

Step 8 Ctrl + G

Step 9 Change Blending Mode to Color

Effect at 50 percent

Pass Through at 70 percent Opacity
