By default, this alert will contain pertinent information for you to see at a glance.

Once you’re done, press thecircle buttonto return to the previous screen.
From the home screen,navigate upand selectNotifications.
There are five options here:

If you want to disable all notifications, selectDisplay Pop-Up Notificationsat the top so that the box is unchecked.
Alternatively, go through each event in turn and enable/disable it to your liking.
Chances are, you don’t want notifications interrupting your viewing.
If that’s true, select this option so that it’s unchecked.
Pop-Up Color
you might change your pop-up color towhiteorblack.
Simply select this option and choose your desired color.
This is handy because you don’t need to leave what you’re doing to read the message.
Notifications When Friends Go Online
Do you want tofind out when your PlayStation friends come online?
While this feature wasn’t available on the PS4 at launch, Sony added it with an update.
Either select people individually or chooseSelect All.
When done, selectConfirm.
These notifications won’t appear as pop-ups unless you’ve enabledPop-Up Notifications > When Friends Go Online.
