The heart of any large web program is the database.
Public’s number will be - under theP.
That process might be referred to as an algorithm for finding a phone number.
I expect that StumbleUpon has averylarge database!
When you sign up for StumbleUpon, they ask you to define a few categories of interest to you.
This helps them to direct you to web pages that have been put in those categories.
The database looks up the categories that you chose when you signed up.
From there, the software most likely chooses one of those categories randomly.
Now it gets a bit more complicated as certain questions are raised.
Well, I imagine that the websites that you have visited through StumbleUpon are tracked.
(Yes, I stumble a lot.)
Now I wonder how it knows what throw in of web pages in a certain category I will like.
That’s what thethumbs-upandthumbs-downbuttons are for.
If that’s the case for the thumbs-up, then the thumbs-down has to function in a similar manner.
The thumbs-down button does have a few more features to it though.
That’s the simple underpinnings of StumbleUpon.
