X-Stream technology lets it charge from 0% to 100% in as little as 70 minutes.
Our modern lifestyle depends on electricity.
Nothing drives that fact home like a grid failure.
This is where a portable power station like the EcoFlow River 2 Pro can come in handy.
And even though it’s rated at only 800W output, this little powerhouse can handle 1,600W appliances.
On the battery’s sides, you’ll find ventilation grilles.
The side view also reveals that the built-in handle extends towards the back.
The power station’s top is nearly flat, with four recessed screws, one in each corner.
The unit rests on four round rubber feet.
The USB-C port also doubles as an input port.
This is where the included car charging cable plugs in.
A cautionary sticker will remind you of how much voltage each of these charging ports can take.

Most appliances can tolerate a lower voltage and current just fine.
This won’t work with all appliances, so try it out before relying on the power station.
Keep in mind that even with X-Boost enabled, the total power limit is 1,600W.
With X-Boost disabled, it’ll shut down with just a single 1,000W appliance connected.
Note that X-Boost is enabled by default, but it’s not available while charging.
To toggle the feature on or off, you’ll need the EcoFlow app.
Adding the power station to the app is quick and easy.
Press the cog icon in the top right to enter the configs menu.
Updating the firmware and switching from Fahrenheit to Celsius is the first thing we did.
Two of the more useful features are setting discharge and charge levels and controlling the AC charge speed.
Should You Buy the EcoFlow River 2 Pro?
Because it’s portable, the River 2 Pro’s capacity and maximum output are limited.
