Another year, another Pixel equipment.
Thats what history tells us, anyway.
One of those whispers states that Google is supposedly integrating Bard AI into the Pixels Call Screen feature.
If you are a Pixel user, you already know and love it.
Supercharging Call Screen with Bard AI could make the feature even more useful beyond merely screening your calls.
Below are five features I hope to see soon.
But we often have to make trade-offs, such as when scheduling an appointment.
Often, that involves us getting stuck on the phone and wishing there was an online option.
Thats why I want to see Call Screening make, confirm, and even reschedule appointments on your behalf.
Google teased this feature way back at Google I/O 2018, so the technology has been there for years.
Now, imagine that technology powered by Bard AI.
Here’s how Id like to see it work.
Choose Yes, then choose if you want Call Screen to make, confirm, or reschedule an appointment.
A calendar screen showing the preferred date and times could also appear.
But its basic information like the businesss name.
Pixel phones already apply specific labels to callers in the call log.
Like the medical label when you call your doctors office.
Or if the caller is considered spam or likely a scam.
But thats after the fact.
No offense to GetHuman, but thats pathetic.
Its already possible to navigate a phone systems prompts via Direct My Call alone.
So this key in of feature doesnt seem that far off.
Food for thought, Google.
That sounds awesome for introverts.
Heres how it could work.
Before you make or answer a phone call, you could grab the speech-to-text option.
A chat window would appear, displaying what the speaker is saying.
You could then jot down what you want in Bards AI-powered voice to communicate back to them.
With nothing lost in translation.
Moreover, it can stop spam calls before your phone even rings.
Its a pop in of scam that will only continue to grow.
But it has felt stagnant in recent years.
