It’s no secret that Apple devices work well together.
Let’s explore the best ways you’re free to use your iPhone and Mac together.
You just need toenable the Handoff feature on your Macand iPhone.
select that icon to continue from where you left off on your iPhone.
If you’re switching from your Mac to your iPhone, you won’t see this Handoff icon.
Instead, you’ll see an app banner on the App Switcher.
Touse AirDrop on your Mac,Control-hit the file you want to share.
SelectSharefrom the dropdown menu and then clickAirDrop.
Then, choose your iPhone when it shows up in theAirDropdialog.
You should see the AirDrop icon or your Mac if it’s nearby.
Play Music, Movies, and TV Shows Across Devices
There are various ways to play music across devices.
One option is to play audio from your iPhone on your Mac using AirPlay.
you could also sync your Apple Music library across devices.
Many third-party apps, like Spotify, support Apple’s Handoff feature as well.
you’ve got the option to stream from your Apple TV app across all devices.
Just check that that you’re logged in on your Apple gear.
you might evenshare the movies you purchased on Apple TV with your family!
First, head toSystem configs > General > Sharingand toggle on the switch next toInternet Sharing.
Then hit theConfigurebutton at the confirmation prompt.
To do so, go toSystem controls > [Your Name] > iCloud.
Click theShow More Appsbutton under theApps Using iCloudheader.
Finally, toggle on the switch next toSafari.
Similarly, on your iPhone, go toSettings > [Your Name] > iCloud.
TapShow Allunder theApps Using iCloudbutton, and toggle on the switch next toSafari.
To do so, click theplus (+)icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
To close one of the iCloud tabs,Control-hit the tab and selectClose Tabfrom the dropdown menu.
On your iPhone, you’ll find your Mac’s Safari tabs when you create a new tab.
To do so, tap theTabsbutton at the bottom of the screen.
Then, tap theplus (+)icon in the bottom-left corner.
To close one of the iCloud tabs, long-press it until the pop-up menu appears and tapClose.
you might accept or decline the call via the notification.
To make a call from your Mac, firstControl-tap on a phone number or its link from any app.
Next, hit theCallbutton.
A popup sayingCall using iPhone: [Number]will appear.
tap the number to start the call.
You also have to ensure that you’re reachable at your phone number and email address on iMessage.
With text forwarding in place, you should be able to do so.
Then, selectAdd Sketch.
Speed Up Payments
For easy, seamless payments, you canset up Apple Payon both your Mac and iPhone.
Another way to use the feature is to go to your Mac’s desktop andControl-click anywhere on the screen.
Then, selectImport from iPhonefrom the dropdown.

This feature comes in handy when you should probably rush urgent reports and documents!
For example, if you’d like to use it on FaceTime, simply launchFaceTimeand clickVideoin the menu bar.
Then, select your iPhone underCamera.
While you could’t interact with them like you could on your iPhone, the widgets do display information.
To enable this, head toSystem controls > Desktop & Dock.
Now, scroll down and toggle on the switch next toUse iPhone widgets.
